Mission Statement
Campbell University’s Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program will prepare practicing PAs to provide advanced leadership, clinical innovation, and organizational improvement across healthcare and academic settings. Graduates will be equipped to lead and teach in colleges and universities, serve in clinical and administrative roles in hospitals and health systems, and influence policy and practice in government agencies, non-profits and academic research organizations, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The program emphasizes evidence-based training in healthcare leadership, education and academic medicine, and clinical research with a commitment to serving rural and underserved communities.
Program Goals
Graduates of the DMSc program will be equipped to:
- Provide visionary leadership in academic, clinical, and research/industry settings.
- Transition into faculty roles in PA education and other health professions programs.
- Translate clinical research findings into strategic scientific communication and serve as a
- credible subject matter expert within research, industry, and medical affairs settings.
- Contribute to system-level improvements in healthcare through data-driven innovation and quality improvement.
