Campbell DPT Community Wellness Program

Cardiovascular Pulmonary Conditions

Do you have a history of heart disease or lung disease, or have you had surgery for either of these systems? Campbell University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Community Wellness program provides a rehabilitation program for the local community.

How Does it Work?  Student Physical Therapists will complete an examination and provide a six-week program to help with your endurance and capacity for tasks and assist with any pain and/or mobility challenges you may have. They will assess your movement impairments and discuss how this is affecting your activities of daily living. Through the session, they will provide faculty monitored management of your condition. At the conclusion of the six-week session, you will be provided an actionable plan to continue your progress or guide future medical options.

Services begin with an initial evaluation on the listed start date and continue with weekly sessions on the same day and at the same time until the program end date. Consistent attendance is required to support both participant progress and student clinical learning.
