Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

The PharmD degree is a four-year, full-time professional program designed to train the next generation of quality, compassionate health care providers and leaders. Our interdisciplinary focus ensures students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be an integral member of a healthcare team.

Our four-year curriculum combines classroom learning with experiential rotations. During the first three years of the PharmD program, students will progress through our newly designed curriculum, which integrates pharmaceutical and clinical sciences. Our curriculum focuses on developing students’ foundational knowledge, application of science to practice, and personal and professional development in order to prepare student pharmacists to be leaders of pharmacy practice.

Students engage in early clinical experiences through the completion of one-month rotations during their P1 and P2 summer terms, and nine one-month rotations during their P4 year. This approach provides students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills obtained in the classroom while giving them early exposure to clinical practice.

During their final year of training, students complete nine four-week clinical rotations at some of the best facilities in the country and gain valuable experience in a variety of practice settings.
