Eligibility Information

Ransdell Family Health Professions Readiness & Enrichment Program (HPREP) applicants with the following academic background are preferred, but applicants who do not meet all criteria will be reviewed.

Doctor of Pharmacy

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Complete 30 semester hours of college level courses
  • Completion of the following college level courses are required:
    • Calculus (4 credit hours)
    • Biological Sciences (8 credit hours)
    • General Chemistry (8 credit hours)
    • Organic Chemistry (8 credit hours)

Doctor of Physical Therapy

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completion of the following college level courses are required:
    • College Algebra or higher (3 credit hours)
    • Biological Sciences (8 credit hours)
    • General Chemistry (4 credit hours)
    • General Physics (4-8 credit hours)

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Complete 30 semester hours of college level courses
  • Completion of the following college level courses are required:
    • Biological Sciences (4 credit hours)
    • General Chemistry (4 credit hours minimum)
    • Organic Chemistry (4 credit hours)
    • General Physics (3 credit hours minimum)
    • Upper Level Sciences (3 credit hours)
    • English (3 credit hours)

Master of Physician Assistant Practice

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum Science GPA of 3.0
  • Complete at least 75 credit hours toward a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Begin direct hands-on patient care hours (1,000 required for admission to MPAP)

Master of Science in Clinical Research

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completion of the following college level courses:
    • Anatomy & Physiology (4 credit hours)
    • Statistics (3 credit hours)
    • Additional Sciences (4 credit hours minimum, 12 credit hours preferred)
