Our Purpose

The purpose is to build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications.

Accreditation

The Community Pharmacy Residency Program at Campbell University was granted accreditation by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP)American Pharmacists Association (APhA) in August 2001. This recognition, the first for a community residency program in North Carolina and only the eighth in the country, assures candidates and future employers that nationally mandated standards of performance and quality have been met. We are proud of this accomplishment, which reflects a commitment to provide a quality program.
